Well, hello there. Thanks for stumbling upon my blog and poking around the About Me section. Bless you for wanting to know who is behind all this drivel. I’m Mimi, an IT pharmacist by day and a Bon Appetit YouTube video binger by night.
I created this blog to help me solve an addiction problem to food delivery apps. I found that almost 27% of my total 2019 credit card transactions were spent on eating out, the majority from food delivery. Funny, because my favorite videos to watch are BA cooking shows (I would die for Claire Saffitz) and grocery hauls on YouTube. But I rarely cook at home. To me, food is meant to be shared and cooking for myself isn’t very fun.
Hence, this blog. It serves as a platform for me to share my relatable trials and tribulations as an amateur cook. The content is going to be self-aware and raw in my pursuit to find joy in cooking. Think like Snapchat, but in blog form. Relatability factor = 10.
Oh, and I should explain the Relatability Scale. Every post (if I’m not lazy) is rated for relatability by me from a scale of 0 (flex all day) to 10 (totes relatable, it’s basic). Categories are set up so that you can quickly find posts with the relatability content you want.
“Can’t Relate (Weird Flex, but OK)” are posts that are rated <5 on the Relatability Scale. “Kinda Relatable” are posts rated >5 but <7 relatability, and “Relatable” are posts rated >7 on the scale. Rest assured, “Relatable” posts will reign on this blog.
Let’s get to Relatable Cooking!
