Avocado milk honey smoothie

It has always baffled me that avocados are more commonly associated with savory dishes in Western cuisine. I spent nearly a decade of my childhood in the Philippines, where avocados were treated like a dessert. An icy avocado smoothie with condensed milk was the perfect treat after climbing trees and playing patintero with the neighborhood kids. I honestly can’t even think of a savory Filipino recipe that incorporated avocados.

Fast forward a couple of decades later, and I still crave this childhood treat.

Three (Main) Ingredients

1 medium avocado
2/3 cup milk (can substitute oat milk)
2 tbsp honey (can substitute Stevia to taste)
5 cubes of ice
Yield: 1 smoothie for a sad, single person

Instructions
  1. In a personal blender, combine avocado, milk, and honey.
  2. Blend and enjoy!
